第五章 老同学聚会

周末，手机突然震了一下，是一条同学会邀请。发来的是苏晓蕾，去年才从国外回来，回来就张罗着要搞个同学聚会。周岁安当时还跟着我妈唠叨说，自己年纪轻轻结了婚，同学知道了不得笑话，结果这会儿倒好，还真就办了。

zwar it was already April, the weather still had a Spring-like warmth to it. The phone buzzed in Zhou Yuans hand, a message from Su Xiaolei saying there was going to be a class reunion. She had only just come back from abroad last year and was already getting things organized.

Zhou Yuan sighed, throwing the phone onto the pillow. He really didn't want to go. Not because he didn't like his classmates, but because he wasn't good at these things. He always felt like an outsider in big crowds and conversations that were usually filled with gossip and comparisons of who had become more successful.

But before he could argue with his wife, his mother called him into the kitchen. "Husband, are you going to the class reunion?" his mother asked, standing over the sink, peeling a potato with her eyes fixed on him. Zhou Yuan knew that tone. It was a tone that said she expected an obedient answer.
